January is Board of Education Recognition Month! Board Member Spotlight: Jeff Bollin
January is School Board Appreciation Month! Please join us as we show appreciation to our school board members for volunteering their time and advocating on behalf of every child in our community. We will be featuring each school board member on the website throughout the month.
Today's spotlight will be on our Lansing USD469 Board President, Mr. Jeff Bollin.
Mr. Jeff Bollin is entering his third year as a member of the Lansing School Board. He is a lifelong resident of Leavenworth County; however, his family and he moved into the Lansing School District five years ago. His wife is a Lansing graduate and is currently employed at the District office. They have two children: an 8th grader at Lansing Middle School and a sophomore at Lansing High School.
Mr. Bollin graduated from Pleasant Ridge in 2000 and then attended North Central Kansas Technical College (NCKTC), where he graduated in 2001. He has worked in heavy highway construction for the last 22 years as a union operator and seven years as a Project Superintendent. Most recently, he accepted a position as a Project Manager. He was a member of the Kickapoo Township Volunteer Fire Dept. for 18 years and served as department treasurer for 10 years. He is also involved with Leavenworth County 4-H as a volunteer.
"I am serving on the board to make the Lansing students the number one priority. I want to help make Lansing the district everyone looks up to."
