Announcing the Lansing USD469 Secondary Teacher of the Year - Christina Hoverson (VIDEO)
Lansing USD469 is proud to announce that Christina Hoverson has been named the 2023 Secondary Teacher of the Year. Ms. Hoverson is an Interventionist at Lansing High School and has made a significant impact on her students and colleagues. Ms. Hoverson will be recognized at this year's Lansing Educational Foundation Honors Breakfast on Friday, May 5th. She will receive a grant for $250 to be used at Lansing High School.
Ms. Hoverson's nomination for this award was a testament to her dedication and commitment to her students and the district. According to her nominations, she is an amazing teacher, mentor, and leader who always puts the needs of her students and the district above her own. She is also a creative problem solver who keeps standards high for student and staff achievement.
One of the most impressive qualities of Ms. Hoverson is her ability to engage even the most reluctant learners. She is a teacher advocate who constantly seeks ways to support student learning. Her friendly and approachable demeanor helps create efficient and effective interventions.
