Lansing USD469 would like to congratulate Lansing Middle School student Mikayla Guenther for being our March Board of Education Student of the Month and Ian Hodges for being our Staff Member of the Month!
Miss Guenther was nominated by an administrator who has witnessed her kindness and willingness to share positivity daily:
"Mikayla rides the bus to Lansing Elementary School and greets all the younger students every day by offering high fives or hugs. She is very kind and always willing to listen to how our little ones days went. She is a joy to see working with younger students. Mikayla should be recognized because she models kindness and caring every day! She goes out of her way to make our students feel special!"

"This guy is an amazing teacher who is very caring and always tells me to stay out of trouble and to stay safe, he gives quite a bit of advice from experience and is like an older brother."
"As a student who has had the privilege of being taught by Mr. Ian Hodges in his first year of teaching, I strongly recommend him for the Board of Education recognition during the March meeting. Mr. Hodges has not only helped me succeed academically, but he’s just been a positive force in his students lives. He is always open to talk and connect with any students. Mr. Hodges' genuine care and interest in his students go beyond the classroom, and I feel fortunate to have him as a teacher. His ability to connect with his students on a personal level is a true gift, and his dedication to our academic and personal growth is unparalleled.
