Out of District Students
APPLICATION FOR NONRESIDENT STUDENTS |
Kansas law now requires school districts to allow non-resident students to transfer into the district. This new open enrollment policy was originally introduced on Friday, Jan 27th of 2022 and then approved by the governor in May of 2022, and the law is meant to go into effect for the 2024-2025 school year.
Nonresident students still need to fill out the Nonresident Application below. Students who are currently enrolled in Lansing will automatically be accepted for enrollment next year, unless they have not met the conditions of being a student in good standing.
Nonresident Student Enrollment Capacity
Lansing USD469 will have a limited capacity to accept nonresident students for the 2024-2025 school year. Based on the projected enrollment and capacity to operate effectively, Lansing USD469 will accept nonresident students as outlined on the USD-469 Enrollment Projection & Nonresident Enrollment Report.
Students living outside of the Lansing USD469 boundary must formally apply for nonresident enrollment no later than June 30, 2024. The application may be completed in any of these ways:
