Lansing School Counselors Attend ASCA National Conference
A group of our Lansing USD469 school counselors recently attended the ASCA National Conference, held at the Kansas City Convention Center. The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) provides invaluable resources and models for effective school counseling programs, and this conference was a perfect opportunity for our counselors to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Over four days, attendees had access to approximately 200 sessions covering a wide range of topics. These sessions are designed to equip school counselors with the tools they need to support students effectively and strengthen their counseling programs.
"These sessions have helped to get us ready for the school year and help to strengthen our current counseling programs," commented Lansing Elementary School counselor Christine Bachtel.
The professional development gained from this conference will have a lasting impact on our counseling programs, ensuring that our counselors are well-prepared to meet the needs of our students.
