Congratulations to our seniors who received scholarships through the Lansing Kansas Scholarship Fund, Inc.!
Established in April 1987 with two scholarships for Frank R. Graham and Irene Johnsmeyer, the Lansing Kansas Scholarship Fund, Inc. is the legacy of Earl Johnsmeyer, former counselor and coach, and his wife Irene, both retired teachers at Lansing High School. Over the years, several other memorial scholarships have been added to the Lansing Kansas Scholarship Fund, Inc., assisting hundreds of graduating seniors from Lansing High School with their higher education costs. Representatives of each scholarship sit on the Board of Directors of the non-profit.
In May, forty-one Lansing graduates were honored to be scholarship recipients for their college/ Vocational higher education. Since 1987, LKSF Inc. has provided $950,000 in college scholarships for Lansing Kansas High School graduates. It is expected that in 2025, that figure will surpass a million dollars in scholarship aid given in Lansing, Kansas!
If you are interested in giving to help future scholarship recipients, all donations are tax-deductible. Contributions from our community make these scholarships possible, and we are proud of the support we receive. We hope the efforts of these special community members, their love of education, and their dedication to Lansing schools will live on through these annual scholarships. The Lansing Kansas Scholarship Fund Inc. is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)3 of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
