Congratulations to Fifth Grader Skyler Tharnish for Being Named Finalist in Saint Mary's Virtual Lincoln Art Contest!
Congratulations to fifth grade student, Sklyer Tharnish, for being named a finalist in this year's Saint Mary's Virtual Lincoln Art Contest. Skyler created his piece as part of an optional remote Friday assignment given by his art teacher, Ms. Jackie Delgado.
"Skyler is a good student and really takes his time, puts a lot of effort into his assignments, and has great craftsmanship," said Ms. Delgado. "I am very impressed with his level of shading and proportion in his artwork that he entered in the Lincoln art contest."
Final winners will be announced February 15th at 7pm during the Saint Mary's 23rd Annual Lincoln Event. Dr. David Trowbridge will be the speaker at this year's virtual event. He will discuss "how America's monumental landscape became contested territory in the early 20th century and provide examples where the battle over public spaces and historical memory have continued into the 21st century." The event is free, but RSVP is required through the following link: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_SA1ZAMTnQCug6v13oMc2KA
