Lansing Intermediate School Holds Assembly To Announce Mufasa Leadership Award Recipients
Lansing Intermediate School held an assembly on Friday, May 17th, to honor a student from each classroom who was nominated by their teacher for displaying the character traits encompassed in our Lansing USD469 PRIDE (perseverance, respect, integrity, diligence, excellence) motto. The students were surprised during the assembly when Principal Martin Altieri called their name, and they got to run the "red carpet" while getting "high fives" from staff.
"I am incredibly proud of Lansing Intermediate School students who received the Mufasa Leadership Award," said Mr. Altieri. "This year, we wanted to make the award a bigger event, so we partnered with the PTA to provide MLA recipients with a framed copy of their awards. It is a great way to showcase students doing great things at LIS!"
Congratulations to all of the students who received awards!
