Three (3) Additional Positive Cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Reported in Leavenworth County LEAVENWORTH COUNTY, KAN. (March 25, 2020) – The Leavenworth County Health Department is |
reporting three (3) additional positive cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the County. The additional cases bring Leavenworth County to eleven (11) total positive cases as of today. The latest affected individuals include a male in his 70s a male in his 50s, and a male in his 30s. The male in his 70s reported recent travel history. The male in his 50s has no recent travel, but known close contact to a positive case. The male in his 30s had no travel history. Leavenworth County Health Department is working to identify any close contacts of these individuals. Those that were exposed will be contacted by LVCOHD as soon as possible. The individuals remain quarantined in their homes along with any family members. Due to the constantly changing information coming into the Health Department, this will be the last news release about additional positive cases. We are transitioning to include this information in our Daily update, released each day after 4 PM. The Health Department continues to urge the public to take appropriate precautions. Everyone should practice good hygiene, stay informed, practice social distancing, and limit in-person interactions. If you are experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, or other respiratory problems, call your healthcare provider or an urgent care clinic first to determine if testing is needed.
