Three (3) Additional Positive Cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Reported in Leavenworth County
LEAVENWORTH COUNTY, KAN. (March 24, 2020) – The Leavenworth County Health Department is reporting three (3) additional positive cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the County. The additional cases bring Leavenworth County to eight (8) total positive cases as of today.
The latest affected individuals include a female in her 40s, male in his 40s, and a male in his 30s. None of the latest positive cases reported recent travel history. Leavenworth County Health Department is working to identify any close contacts of these individuals. Those that were exposed will be contacted by LVCOHD as soon as possible. The individuals remain quarantined in their homes along with any family members.
The Health Department continues to urge the public to take appropriate precautions. Everyone should practice good hygiene, stay informed, practice social distancing, and limit in-person interactions. If you are experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, or other respiratory problems, call your healthcare provider or an urgent care clinic first to determine if testing is needed. If symptoms are mild, do not go to the emergency room, as this resource needs to remain available for those with the most critical needs.
