Pittsburgh Seam
HVAC students learned how to make a Pittsburgh seam in sheet metal. The Pittsburgh seam is a method of using sheet metal to bend around a curve. There are two parts to a Pittsburgh lock: the Pittsburgh seam (which is a pocket and an extending straight flange) and the 90-degree right-angle flange.
