March 31, 2020 4:00pm - Leavenworth County Health Department Daily Update
Leavenworth County has created a map to allow the public to track the progress in the fight against COVID-19.
The numbers reflected on the map include lab-confirmed positive cases and self-reporting probable cases. Cases are classified as "probable" if an individual self-reports symptomatology that meets criteria for COVID-19 . These cases demonstrate a high suspicion that an individual has the virus without the ability to test. At this time, our testing capabilities are limited by criteria set by KDHE and the availability of tests.
To continue to aid in capturing a true representation of this pandemic, we ask for individuals to continue self-reporting to the health department. Self-Reporting can be done by calling the health department at 913-250-2000, option 3, and speaking to a healthcare professional.
With this new format, additional information can be shared with the public concerning the COVID-19 pandemic for our county. This format will replace the daily update that we have been posting daily at 4 PM.
