District-Wide Late Start or Early Release Survey - Response Requested
Lansing Families,
At the Board of Education meeting on Monday, February 10, 2020, the Lansing Elementary School staff presented a proposal for a District-Wide Late Start/Early Release. As a part of their decision making process, the Board of Education is asking for some additional information.
If you have a student attending one of the Lansing USD 469 schools, please take a few minutes to answer the questions in the survey below. It should take about 2 minutes. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at dan.wessel@usd469.net.

USD469 - Late Start/Early Release Proposal
Lansing School District is looking at the possibility of doing a district-wide late start or early release beginning the 2020-2021 school year. This would entail starting school one hour later or releasing one hour early one day a week (day TBD). Transportation would run an hour late or early. Lansing High School currently does a late start on a Thursday for additional collaboration time for teachers. Late start or early release would not pertain to Early Childhood, PreK or New Beginnings. We are asking for parent input to help us plan logistically to best serve our community.
