Lansing Middle School Principal, Mr. Kerry Brungardt, participates in Polar Plunge for a good cause (VIDEO)
During the last week of January 2020, Lansing Middle School (LMS) students and staff worked hard to collect coins for the Special Olympics, something near and dear to LMS Life Skills teacher, Ms. Amanda Edwards', heart. She made an agreement with LMS Principal, Mr. Kerry Brungardt, that if the school raised $2,000 in the coin drive, he would allow the students to dump a bucket of ice cold water on him during their January pep rally. He also allowed teachers to have a Jeans Week if they made a donation to the cause, which brought in a lot of money for the cause.
Even though the school just barely missed their goal of $2,000, Mr. Brungardt was a good sport and participated in the Polar Plunge on Friday, January 31st!
Great job Ms. Edwards and Mr. Brungardt!
