Homecoming week a tremendous success across Lansing USD469!
Lansing Homecoming week gave the students and staff across Lansing USD469 a chance to come together to celebrate our wonderful district! Each day leading up to homecoming brought a different spirit day, with students from kindergarten to 12th grades dressing up as their favorite memes, showing their country vs. country club attire, wearing crazy socks, and representing mathletes or athletes.
The Lansing Homecoming Parade and Extravaganza was held Thursday, October 3rd and was a great time had by all! Lansing High School student council students, led by sponsors Christina Hoverson and Maeve Bolin, organized the extravaganza and put on one heck of a party. "This year the Homecoming Extravaganza was 'for students, by students'," said Miss Hoverson. "Student council, led by the seniors, planned and executed the event. They had their peers from various clubs and activities running games or selling items at their booths." The Homecoming Extravaganza offered tons of games, inflatables, food truck vendors, and even human hamster balls for students, staff, and community members to enjoy.
