Lansing Educational Foundation Announces the Lansing USD469 Secondary Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Lansing's Secondary Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Megan Bone! This is Mrs. Bone's sixth year of teaching in the Lansing School District, and we are so lucky to have her. She is an incredible Social Sciences teacher, teaching high school Geography, Civics, Psychology, Intro to Law, and Sociology classes. She is outstanding at connecting with her students and pushing them to be their very best.
"Mrs. Bone will always do her best to understand the students she is teaching. If they have questions, she will answer them no matter how strange. She keeps her class fun and is still able to keep them orderly," said one of her student nominators. "Mrs. Bone is willing to take time to work with students outside of the classroom as well in order to make sure they are well."
In addition to teaching, Mrs. Bone is on the Lansing High School Social Committee and is sponsor for the Anime Club and Video Game Club.
Thank you, Mrs. Bone, for being such an incredible mentor to the students at Lansing High School!
