Lansing Educational Foundation Announces the Lansing USD469 Elementary Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Lansing's Elementary Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Patti Boe-Cackler! Mrs. Cackler has worked in the Lansing School District for over twenty years and is currently the gifted facilitator for Lansing Elementary and Lansing Intermediate Schools. In addition to teaching her own gifted students, Patti co-teaches in the general education classrooms, offering enrichment and teaching critical thinking skills to all the students. She also services on the Building Leadership Team (BLT) and coordinates all meetings set by the district's Special Education Director, leads team meetings for SPED teachers, and participates in our school improvement system.
Lansing Intermediate School principal, Sue Anderson, sees first hand all the incredible things Mrs. Boe-Cackler does for our district on a daily basis. "Mrs. Boe-Cackler is an amazing resource for our special education (SPED) staff. Patti's first duty is to our students. She understands that supporting teachers (both SPED and general education) is a way to ensure that all students receive services geared toward their individual needs. I truly feel that Patti Boe-Cackler goes above and beyond her designated role. She has a passion for students, and strives to assist teachers so that all students benefit from that passion."
The Lansing School District is incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful teacher and example for our teaching community.
Thank you for your dedication to our students and staff, Mrs. Boe-Cackler!
